Ping-Pong with Timmy If you had not noticed, Timmy is in many of my pictures. He is my best friend so we do a lot together. Timmy keeps me busy with activities. We have known each other since freshman year of high school. We met in homeroom, and we immediately got along with each other. Timmy and I decided at the beginning of our senior year that we wanted to attend UCM. It has been so much fun. He knows I needed to do my events for this class so he always tried to help me get more involved. We are involved in Spotlight, so we hear about many events. Covid has restricted some of the athletic events, and it was hard to find many athletic events. Timmy suggested that we play ping-pong in the Recreation Center. I do not usually go into the Rec, unless I am craving a blueberry bagel from Einstein’s. I feel like the Rec is for those are very active, and I am not very active. I do not have much time. UCM ART GALLERY I did not know UCM had its own art gallery--un til one day in this class it was mentioned. The gallery is a good size. There was a lot of room for many displays, and there was a lot of room to walk around. I think it is great the students have a place to put their work. In many cases, people express how they feel or think in their pieces. The displays in the gallery were all Senior projects. It was my understanding that the project was centered around interior or graphic design. Most of the displays showcased a building they had designed. In the picture above, the artist created a place where many people could hang out. They named it the ‘Neighborhood Hub’. I saw another one that was an Independent Living Center for the elder. I really liked the idea and design with that one because my grandmother lives in an ILC. She really loves it, but there are some things she would change of course.
